its status as a superior healthcare provider reaffirmed by JCI.
Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, the UAE’s leading centre for diabetes treatment which is fully owned by Mubadala Healthcare, has again been awarded two Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditations for high standards of care.

The Centre achieved the JCI Clinical Care Program Certification for Diabetes Management and the JCI Accreditation for Ambulatory Care after its two facilities - in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain – each participated in detailed and rigorous inspections by JCI assessors.

Suhail Mahmood Al Ansari, Imperial College London Diabetes Centre’s Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of Mubadala Healthcare, welcomed the outcome.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this prestigious accreditation and to have our status as a superior healthcare provider reaffirmed by JCI.”

Since 1984, JCI has worked with health care organisations in more than 80 countries to promote rigorous standards of care.

Al Ansari noted that Imperial College London Diabetes Centre was the first centre worldwide to receive both certifications when it was awarded the JCI accreditation in Ambulatory Care, as well as Clinical Care, in 2010.

“Imperial College London Diabetes Centre still holds the unique distinction as the only medical centre to hold both awards in the UAE. The endorsement is an achievement from which we take great pride, and it supports our efforts in continuing to provide the best in diabetes treatment, research, training and public health awareness.”
