The
shortlist for the prestigious Middle
East EVENT Awards has been announced today.
The Middle East EVENT Awards 2013 received
a record number of entries this year, with the winners being revealed at a
glittering ceremony at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, on May 22.
One of the
most hotly contested awards this year will be the new Best Music Event category,
which will see Beats on the Beach, Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival,
Madonna Live in Abu Dhabi and SANDANCE in association with Toyota all go up
against each other.
Another
highlight is in sport with the six shortlisted events being Abu Dhabi Corporate
Games, Al Gharbia Water Sports Festival, Qatar Foundation National Sport Day,
Mubadala World Tennis Championship, Red Bull X-Fighters and The Abu Dhabi HSBC
Golf Championship.
More niche
aspects of the industry are also recognized at Middle East EVENT Awards 2013 in the Best Event Design, Best Sound
Production, Best Exhibition and Best Temporary Venue or Structure categories.
